OpenBSD Errata: October 29th, 2020 (bgpd)  

Errata patches for OpenBGPD have been released for OpenBSD 6.7 and 6.8. In bgpd, the roa-set parser could leak memory. Binary updates for the amd64, i386, and arm64 platforms are available via the syspatch utility.

FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE Now Available  

The FreeBSD Release Engineering Team is pleased to announce the availability of FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE. This is the third release of the stable/12 branch. Some of the highlights:

  • Updates to the wireless networking stack and various drivers have been introduced to provide better 802.11n and 802.11ac support.
  • The ice(4) driver has been added, supporting Intel(R) 100Gb ethernet cards.
  • The jail(8) utility has been updated to allow running Linux(R) in a jailed environment.
  • OpenSSL has been updated to version 1.1.1h.
  • OpenSSH has been updated to version 7.9p1.
  • The clang, llvm, lld, lldb, compiler-rt utilities and libc++ have been updated to version 10.0.1.

You can now use compilers.conf(5) to switch to clang10/llvm10 for building Dragonfly.

ext4 (and FUSE) on FreeBSD

OPNsense 20.7.4 released  

This release finally wraps up the recent Netmap kernel changes and tests. The Realtek vendor driver was updated as well as third party software cURL, libxml2, OpenSSL, PHP, Suricata, Syslog-ng and Unbound just to name a couple of them.
